I watched this movie yesterday. I thought it was a great story. I would have done a few things different. I know that I am no one to say that, but I would have had them struggle a little more for the effect of the audience. I would have given them more time to fall in love and more reasons to stay together.
I thought the crash was kind of sudden and that it would have been a better story if the pilot may have survived and caused them more problems and reasons to try and survive. I love the fact that they had to rely on each other to survive and make it out in the cold.
I loved that the dog survived and that Ben adopted him. That made it really nice at the end because all of them survived except the pilot. Idris Elba and Kate Winslet do a great job of their characters and creating the romantic drama that was all throughout the movie.
Overall I really like the movie and would recommend that you watch it. I would give it a chance to show you a good survival movie that could have used a little bit more drama, but over all deserves a 4 out of 5 stars. If you get the chance watch the movie and let me know what you think.
I recently went to see the movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. In all honesty, I would like to give this film a 4.5 out of 5 stars, because it was just the right amount of everything that makes a movie worth watching.
I loved how Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson were so in sync with their counterparts in the real world. Dwayne Johnson pulled off the being scared and nerdy guy while trying to be the macho guy without really knowing how. Kevin Hart’s comedic timing always made me laugh. Jack Black acting like a girl was hilarious. He pulled it off and made the movie more fun. Karen Gillan made us believe that she didn’t know how to be a hot girl. I loved the part where she was trying to flirt.
I was stoked about the storyline and how it had throwbacks to the original. I liked that the story flowed even though at points it could be cheesy, but what PG-13 movie isn’t. The characters were well done, but I think there could have been a little bit more work done here. The soundtrack was excellent and made you feel like you were a part of the movie.
The thing that I didn’t like about the movie was Van Pelt and how he wasn’t true to the character. I know they were trying to modernize the film, but this could have been better thought out. He was more of an older distinguished gentleman than the young power hungry man they portrayed him as.
Other than that the movie was great. I recommend you go and see it if you haven’t. I think this is worth going to see just to see Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black be their characters and make us laugh in the process.

I have been under the weather for the last few days, and I wanted to give you a post letting you know why I haven’t posted. It sucks being sick, and not being able to be creative.
Has anyone gone to see the new movie The Mountain Between Us? I was wondering if it was worth going to see. I generally like both actors, Idris Elba and Kate Winslet. It looked like it would be a good movie, but I wanted to know what you all thought if you have seen it.
It looked like a well-written story, but you know trailers can be misleading. I have learned that going to see the movie can be your best bet sometimes. If any of you have seen the movie please comment and let me know what you thought of it. If I go to see the movie we can compare our notes and see what were the best parts of the story.
Thank you all for bearing with me through my sickness.
Has anyone gone to see the new IT movie?
I went to see it when it first came out. I have to say that I enjoyed it (pun intended).
I know this is a little late, but I wanted to do a review of the movie.
Things I liked about it:
- Pennywise was well cast
- The storyline seemed more cohesive
- Pennywise was genuinely creepy
- It’s a horror movie done right.
- The characters seem to be better in this version
- There will be a sequel
Things I didn’t like:
- The kids didn’t seem to act well
- There could have been more backstory
- There were some plot holes
- There needed to be a better sense of who Pennywise is
- It didn’t scare me enough
- There will be a sequel
I enjoyed the movie even though there were serious plot holes. I have always loved horror movies, and this one made me believe in them again. All horror movies have plot holes, otherwise what fun would they be. I just wanted to do a short review of the movie that seems to be sweeping America by storm.
I recommend that everyone go see this movie at least once. I know that clowns are scary for some people, but this movie really is worth it. I loved it for what it was. Please don’t take my word for it go see it for yourself while you still can.
